Yes there is. Connect your wireless client to the "BWCGuest" SSID.
Is there a charge for installing my wireless card?
User Services, located at 20 Beech, will install a network card and configure a laptop for wireless access for students. There is a $30.00 charge.
What kind of security does my wireless card need to support?
WPA
Can I use the Windows XP SP1 or SP2 “Zero Wireless Configuration Utility”?
Yes, but SP1 will need a Hot-Fix KB826942 and a WPA compliant wireless card.
Do I have to purchase the Funk Odyssey Client?
If you have Windows XP Home or Pro you do not. If your wireless card is WPA compliant and it will not connect with the supplicant software that came with it, you will want to purchase the software from the BW bookstore. Information Technology will be compiling a list of cards that require the Odyssey Client throughout the school year.
What is the difference between Mini-PCI and PCMCIA?
PCMCIA is a card you can insert/remove from your laptop. Mini-PCI is a card that is built into your laptop.
What type of wireless card should I purchase?

Some of these cards can be purchased at the bookstore, or your local electronics retailer.Can I connect my PDA to the Wireless network?
Yes, it also needs to be WPA compliant. There will be no support for PDAs from Information Technology at this time.
Can I connect my Desktop to the Wireless network?
No, every residence hall has a network port per pillow policy. Keeping your desktop plugged into the wall port gives you a faster connection to the network.
Can I use my own wireless access point in my room?
No, a personal access point will interfere with BW wireless network and is prohibited.
